BIO

I think of my work as phenomenological. J.M.W. Turner painted the weather. Francis Bacon painted his own psychological warpage within a cage of classical Euclidean perspective. My work represents a non-specific/non-Euclidean warpage of space/time in which my hand and process capture the weather at a sub atomic level. They are intuitive investigations of the nature of matter and perception, like the experiments in quantum physics where photons are at once particles and waves and in The Double Slit Experiment where electrons create interference patterns. They are Zen exercises whereby my psychological disposition, or a breeze can cause my hand to err and create nuance that hints at the pictorial-and, like The Double Slit Experiment, invoke Heisenberg’s Principle and are changed by observation.
